Cromartie signed a contract with the CFL's Montreal Alouettes on Thursday.
Cromartie most recently got a shot with the Lions last preseason, but he landed on injured reserve in September and was waived shortly after. This will mark his first stint in the CFL, and if he performs well, the Wisconsin product could parlay the opportunity into another chance in the NFL.
