Outfielder Johnny Damon could be a fit for the Braves, according to the Boston Globe’s Nick Cafardo.

The Braves have been looking to a left-handed pinch hitter, and Damon could draw interest. The 38-year-old outfielder hit just .222/.281/.329 with the Indians, but is considered a strong clubhouse presence. The Indians designated Damon for assignment in early August, but released him once they couldn’t find any takers for the outfielder.

The Braves have been scouting players from nearly every non-contender, but could choose to take a chance with Damon.
