The Astros are getting ready for their move to the American League.

The team, which will begin play in the AL West in 2013, has agreed to terms with free agent Carlos Pena on a one-year deal, according to sources. Pena, who will make $2.9 million with another $1.4 million in incentives, is expected to share the first base and designated hitter spots with Brett Wallace.

The 34-year-old Pena hit just .197 last year with the Rays. He had 19 home runs last year but has averaged 32 homers a year over the last six seasons.
