Orioles' Showalter to miss Saturday, attending memorial service

Bench coach John Russell will act as Baltimore's manager for at least Saturday as Buck Showalter attends a memorial service for his late father-in-law.

Orioles manager Buck Showalter is heading to Nashville on Saturday to attend a memorial service for his late father-in law, according to Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic. 

Since April 10, it's been planned for Showalter to take at least part of this series against the Red Sox off. Bench coach John Russell will serve as Baltimore's manager while Showalter is away. 

The Orioles are on a four-game losing streak after the Blue Jays swept them.
