Jung stole second base in the fifth inning and then swiped third base in the seventh. It was his first career game with multiple stolen bases, which is no surprise since he entered Thursday's game with only four career steals. The multi-hit game was a welcome sight, as Jung had gone 5-for-30 over his previous eight games. The 26-year-old is hitting .228 in 26 games since his return from injury late in July.
Jung is serving as Texas' designated hitter for Sunday's game at Cleveland due to a finger laceration, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.
The 26-year-old was initially penciled in at third base Sunday, but he'll instead fill a non-defensive role since the laceration affects his ability to throw. Jung will have Monday's team off day to rest up and is expected to be fully cleared for Tuesday's series opener versus the White Sox.

Jung is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game in Boston.
Jung is batting just .194 with a 14:0 K:BB over his last 31 plate appearances, so he'll get a day to regroup. Josh Smith will handle third base for the Rangers while Adolis Garcia settles into the designated hitter slot.

Jung, who slotted seventh then sixth in his first several games since coming off the 60-day injured list, was moved to his highest spot in the order Monday. After going a sluggish 1-for-10 over his first three games back, Jung has hit safely in three straight, going 4-for-10 with two doubles and a home run.
