Jonathan Mogbo PF, SANFRAN
Height: 6-6, Weight: 217
This is a big dart throw at No. 31. Mogbo began his career at the junior college level before bouncing to Missouri State and finally to San Francisco. He had a great pre-draft process and profiles as a big forward who rebounds at a high level and shows great passing skills for his position. (Kyle Boone)
B
Mogbo is one of the more unique players in this draft class with one of the better stories and ascensions. Heās a slightly undersized power forward, but has an absurd 7-2 wingspan to go with it. He makes for one of the more versatile defenders and better rebounders in this class bringing good utility to the floor. Offensively, he is very limited but is a very good passer and has shown the ability to facilitate and distribute the basketball from various spots on the floor. Heās not a shooter at this stage and most of his buckets come by way of cleaning up and finishing around the rim. Given his unique game, itās hard to find a comparison, but given his defensive versatility, his rebounding and his passing, he has similarities to that of Bam Adebayo coming out of college but doesnāt possess the same frame or skillset.
- The West Palm Beach, Florida, native began his collegiate career playing JUCO basketball.
- After two years at JUCO he climbed up to Missouri State before transferring to San Francisco for the 2023-24 season.
- Named to All-WCC First Team and was WCC Newcomer of the Year in 2023-24.
- Ranked No. 12 overall in the NCAA in double-doubles this season with 17.
- Ranked No. 10 Overall in the NCAA in field goal percentage shooting 63.6% from the field.
- Possesses excellent passing and rebounding skills
- Will impress NBA teams with his length, measuring a 7-foot-2 wingspan
- Measured just 6-6 without shoes at the NBA Draft Combine.
- Is limited offensively and has only attempted two 3-pointers in his career.
- Wingspan: 7 feet, 2 inches
- Standing vertical leap: 31.5 inches
- Standing reach: 9 feet, 0.5 inch
- Lane agility: 11.14 seconds
- Three quarter sprint: 3.02 seconds
- Max vertical leap: 37.5 inches

Kyle Filipowski PF, DUKE
Height: 6-11, Weight: 230
This is excellent value at this point in the draft. Filipowski is a former five-star who was an All-American at Duke and ranked as a top-20 player on my board. To get a 7-footer with his versatility past the 20s, much less in Round 2, is quite the surprise. (Kyle Boone)
A+
Former five-star recruit and McDonaldās All-American who flourished in two seasons at Duke operating as a rebounding vacuum and offensive hub for the Blue Devils.
- Signed with Duke in 2022 as the No. 4 overall player in his class.
- Has a twin brother, Matt, who plays for Harvard
- Dynamic offensive weapon. Can stretch the floor as shooter and was frequently the focal point of Dukeās spread offense, where he was asked to serve as roll man and passer.
- Willing facilitator. Heās unafraid to take his own shots but does a good job of reading defenses and seeing whatās around the corner.
- Good defender and rim protector. Not the most dynamic shot blocker but his size presents a challenge around the basket and heās smart with how he positions himself down low.
- Rebounding numbers took a slight dip last season on both sides of the ball. He was dynamic as a freshman generating second-chance looks on offensive boards, something that wasnāt as prominent last year.
- Free-throw shooting not a strength. He was average as a freshman shooting 76.5% from the line but took a step back as a sophomore, hitting 67.1%.
- Wingspan: 6 feet, 11 inches
- Standing vertical leap: 27 inches
- Standing reach: 8 feet, 11 inches
- Lane agility: 11.43 seconds
- Three quarter sprint: 3.19 seconds
- Max vertical leap: 32.5 inches

Tyler Smith PF, G League Ignite
Height: 6-9, Weight: 224
Smith is a former five-star recruit who acquitted himself well this past season shining on a deep G League Ignite team. He's a stretch big who can consistently knock down 3s with a smooth, repeatable lefty stroke, though he brings questions defensively and may not be an NBA-ready contributor at this juncture. The compounding issue here is the Bucks already made a pick that won't help them much next season in first-rounder A.J. Johnson. (Kyle Boone)
C+
A former 5-star prospect, Smith shined in recent months while playing for the G League Ignite, the NBAās feeder program which was shut down earlier this year. Smith will be one of the final players to come out of the short-lived experiment and he could be a testament to the development potential the NBA had with Ignite. Smth has a good 3-point shot, is dexterous with the ball and seems to be getting better by the month.
- Averaged 13.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and shot 36.0% from 3-point range in 43 games with G League Ignite.
- Clearly showed positive progression to being an NBA talent in the past 12 months.
- Can be a two-way player who logs 20-plus minutes per game with the right fit.
- Above-average shooting stroke and clip for a power forward.
- Lob threat who plays the back alleys well.
- His size and age (19) combined with a lefty stroke make him a tempting upside play.
- Isnāt a consistent producer, though some of that is natural due to his size and age.
- Defensive prowess is maybe halfway to what it should be as an NBA player.
- Unproven as a full-motor guy.
- Wingspan: 7 feet, 1 inch
- Standing vertical leap: 32 inches
- Standing reach: 8 feet, 9 inches
- Lane agility: 10.74 seconds
- Three quarter sprint: 3.28 seconds
- Max vertical leap: 38 inches

Tyler Kolek PG, MARQET
Height: 6-1, Weight: 197
New York traded for this pick from Portland and snatched one of the best values of the early second round in Kolek. He led college basketball in assists last season for Marquette and brings with him elite passing vision and dynamism as a disruptive downhill driver. He could be a valuable backup right away in New York, though some health questions lingered. (Kyle Boone)
A
The comparison to an All-Star like Jalen Brunson is a bit unfair. But in broad strokes, they are similar. Both are undersized former multi-year Big East stars with deft passing abilities and a crafty knack for scoring the ball as surgical lefties.
- Began his career at George Mason.
- Earned 2022-23 Big East Player of the Year honors.
- Elite passer and floor general.
- Shot better than 38% from 3-point range as a junior and senior.
- Crafty as a scorer around taller players.
- Limited size/athleticism will make him a target defensively.
- Lacks the positional versatility sought by NBA franchises.
- Upside hampered by middling physical tools.
- Wingspan: 6 feet, 2.75 inches
- Standing vertical leap: 27 inches
- Standing reach: 7 feet, 11 inches
- Lane agility: 10.97 seconds
- Three quarter sprint: 3.27 seconds

Johnny Furphy SF, KANSAS
Height: 6-8, Weight: 189
Furphy not only falling out of the top-20, but then out of the first round entirely, was the biggest surprise slip to me Wednesday. This presents excellent value for the Pacers, who traded for him, giving them a young, developmental prospect who has size and shot-making versatility. (Kyle Boone)
A
Furphy emerged as an obvious one-and-done candidate as KUās season unfolded after teammate Elmarko Jackson failed to become a reliable starter. The 6-8 guard from Australia ended up starting 19 games and averaging 9.0 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 35.2% from 3-point range. He got a season-high 23 points in a January victory over Cincinnati.
- All-Big 12 Honorable Mention (2024)
- Big 12 All-Freshman Team (2024)
- Has a unique ability at his size and age to reliably shoot from the perimeter.
- Excellent runner and finisher in transition.
- More than 60% of Furphyās field-goal attempts came from beyond the arc this season, which highlights how reliant he is on 3-point shooting.
- Questionable self-creator on offense.
- Wingspan: 6 feet, 8 inches
- Standing vertical leap: 25.5 inches
- Standing reach: 8 feet, 8.5 inches

Juan Nunez PG, Spain
Height: 6-4, Weight: 206
Nunez is who I had the Spurs selecting in Round 2 and it's who the Spurs traded down for and selected. He's a crafty Spanish point guard with good passing vision and creative handles who could play well off a more defensive-minded guard in Stephon Castle, who San Antonio picked at No. 4. (Kyle Boone)
A
The Spanish guard is a pass-first point guard who uses his speed and quickness to get to the rim. Nunezās shooting will be his swing skill, as he only connected on 29.4% of his self-created 3-pointers the past two seasons.
- Averaged 10.4 points and 5.8 assists this past season.
- Signed with Real Mardid at 10 years old and made his professional tournament debut in the 2020 German Cup five years later
- Strong passing skills that could make him an ideal option as a pass-first point guard in a backup role.
- Crafty finisher that uses his dominant left hand to finish around the rim.
- Struggled to connect on a high clip from distance - especially off the dribble - which could make his skillset one-dimensional.
- Passive shooter who tends to pass-first instead of finding or creating his shot.
- Wingspan: 6 feet, 6.5 inches
- Standing vertical leap: 22 inches
- Standing reach: 8 feet, 6 inches
- Lane agility: 11.47 seconds
- Three quarter sprint: 3.41 seconds

Bobi Klintman PF, Sweden
Height: 6-9, Weight: 212
Minnesota traded this pick to Detroit and selected Klintman, representing a big swing and, more importantly, a level of self-awareness. After selecting Ron Holland in Round 1 to add to its stable of shaky shooters, Klintman has a reliable shot and a big frame capable of playing on the wing as a role player. (Kyle Boone)
B
The former Wake Forest forward elected to take his talents overseas ahead of the 2024 NBA Draft by playing for the Cairns Taipans of the Australian National Basketball League (NBL). Klintman is one of the biggest boom-or-bust prospects in the draft. He is a proven 3-point shooter, and his defensive versatility is a swing skill.
- Played freshman season at Wake Forest before going overseas to play in the NBL
- Averaged 9.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 0.8 steals in 21.3 minutes
- Proficient off-ball scorer with a proven ability to hit catch-and-shoot 3-pointers
- Possesses significant defensive upside due to his long frame and active hands ā 2.2 stocks per 36 minutes
- Raw prospect who needs to improve his shot creation to elevate his game to the next level in order to prove his 3-pointer will translate to the next level
- Despite showing glimpses of being a plus-defender at the next level, he will need to demonstrate more consistency on that end of the floor to unlock his potential.
- Wingspan: 6 feet, 11 inches
- Standing vertical leap: 26.5 inches
- Standing reach: 8 feet, 10.5 inches
- Lane agility: 11.49 seconds
- Three quarter sprint: 3.23 seconds
