The NBA announced that the Las Vegas Summer League game between the Indiana Pacers and Washington Wizards set to take place Sunday at 8 p.m. ET has been postponed due to health and safety protocols. The Wizards won't have enough available players to suit up due to ongoing contact tracing.
Per the NBA's statement:
"Because of ongoing contact tracing within the Wizards, the team does not have enough available players to proceed with tonight's game against the Pacers."

Washington announced Saturday that three players -- Cassius Winston, Issuf Sanon and Isaiah Todd -- all entered health and safety protocols. The Las Vegas Summer League just started on Aug. 8, after a year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There have been heightened health protocols put in place to ensure the safety of everyone in attendance, but it's impossible to completely eradicate the risk of COVID-19 without a bubble present.
The NBA learned that first hand during the 2020-21 season, with 31 games postponed over the course of the 72-games schedule due to health and safety protocols. In some cases, like with the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics, several consecutive games had to be rescheduled because there weren't enough players available to participate in the game. It appears the league is now facing that same issue with summer league, which isn't ideal on the first day after a year hiatus from the summer event.
While the Wizards-Pacers game is postponed, there will still be seven other games to tip off summer league on Sunday, starting with the Boston Celtics vs. Atlanta Hawks at 4 p.m. ET.
