Welcome back to another day full of NBA action. We've got seven games lined up for this Sunday, starting with an interesting afternoon matchup between the surprising Kings and the Giannis Antetokounmpo-led Bucks which Milwaukee ultimately won comfortably to improve their overall record to 8-1 on the year. 

Later on, the Wizards got back in the win column by taking care of the Knicks, while the Nets crushed the Sixers. And in a surprising result, the Magic went into San Antonio and stopped the Spurs' early-season momentum.

In the late games, the Timberwolves will once again be without Jimmy Butler -- who is sitting out to rest -- and that cost them dearly against the Trail Blazers. While the Raptors dominated the Lakers at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Giannis drops the hammer on Koufos, records triple-double

Giannis Antetokounmpo is perhaps the most unique player in the league, largely because of his incredible combination of size and athleticism, which allows him to make plays like this. After using a screen at the top of the key, he weaved his way into the lane and dropped the hammer on his countryman, Kosta Koufos. The Greek Freak finished the game with 26 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists to record his second triple-double of the season. 

Leonard sitting out vs. Lakers

There will be no Kawhi Leonard vs. LeBron James matchup on Sunday night, as the Raptors star is sitting out. The team announced he won't play due to a sore left ankle. OG Anunoby will start in his place.

Okogie puts Nurkic on a poster

Josh Okogie is getting some extra playing time with Jimmy Butler sitting out again, and the rookie is making sure to take advantage. Just a few minutes into the Wolves' game against the Trail Blazers, Okogie drove inside and put Jusuf Nurkic on a poster.

Ibaka torches the Lakers during the first quarter

The Toronto Raptors jumped out to a 42-17 lead over the Los Angeles Lakers after 12 minutes of action and Serge Ibaka was the biggest reason why as he knocked down all eight of his attempts from the field to score 20 points in the first quarter alone. 

Wall, Beal get Wizards back in win column

The Wizards have had a brutal start to the season, but they finally got their second win, thanks to strong performances from their star guards, John Wall and Bradley Beal. The duo combined for 48 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in the win.

DeRozan drops the hammer on the Magic

The early returns from the DeMar DeRozan for Kawhi Leonard trade have been positive for the Spurs and that continued at the start of tonight's matchup with the Magic as DeRozan got the fans off of their feet with this one-handed slam dunk . 

Casspi breaks out the Shammgod

It's a rare sight to see someone break out the famed Shammgod move during a game, but it's even rarer when that player breaking it out is Omri Casspi. But that's just what the forward did against the Suns. 

Simmons goes coast-to-coast for a slam dunk

Sixers star Ben Simmons might receive all sorts of criticism for his jump shot but it matters a lot less when you're able to corral a rebound and then go the length of the floor for an emphatic slam dunk as Simmons did on this play.

Wall sets up Oubre with a scoop pass alley-oop

John Wall and the Washington Wizards have not enjoyed much success in the early portion of the season but they are hoping that things can turn around on Sunday in their matchup with the Knicks and the former No. 1 overall pick is doing his part to help get Washington going on the offensive end by sharing the ball.

Trier finishes at the rim after driving through traffic

The New York Knicks appear to have found an absolute steal in two-way guard Allonzo Trier as he has continued to impress this evening in Washington D.C. by attacking the basket and finishing with style. 

Fox slices through the defense and finishes at the rim

De'Aaron Fox has been fantastic for the Kings in the early going this season and that has continued on Sunday as he showed off his top-end speed by slicing through the Bucks defense before a crafty finish at the basket.

Butler out again for Timberwolves

Jimmy Butler sat out the Timberwolves' game against the Jazz earlier this week, but returned on Friday night for their game vs. the Warriors. His return has turned out to be short-lived, however, as Butler will once again be sitting out on Sunday night when the Wolves take on the Trail Blazers in Portland. Butler has said that it's his decision whether or not he'll play from game to game.
