Coach Mike Brown said Monday that Huerter has been restricted to non-contact activities in practice as he recovers from a left shoulder injury, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
Huerter is in the final stages of his recovery from a dislocation and labral tear to his left shoulder that he suffered in March. He's been focused on individual workouts during training camp, and the 26-year-old guard appears to be inching closer towards returning to 5-on-5 activities ahead of the start of the 2024-25 regular season.

Kings' Kevin Huerter: Ramping up ahead of season
Huerter (shoulder) has been ramping up his individual workouts ahead of the regular season, and he said Monday that his final step is "really just getting 5-on-5 full-contact," Matt George of ABC 10 Sacramento reports.
Huerter is six months out from suffering a dislocation and labral tear to his left shoulder. The 26-year-old said Monday that he is not yet cleared for contact, but he feels good and could be cleared for 5-on-5 action before the beginning of the regular season. Huerter appeared in 64 regular-season outings last season, during which he averaged 10.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists across 24.4 minutes per game.

Kings' Kevin Huerter: Cleared for on-court workouts
Huerter (shoulder) has been cleared for on-court workouts, Deuce Mason of NBC Sports California reports.
Huerter is recovering from a shoulder procedure he underwent in early April, and the news that he's been cleared for on-court workouts shows he's making progress. Huerter will be re-evaluated in mid-October, and if everything continues to trend in the right direction, he could be cleared for full-contact activity before the start of the 2024-25 regular season.

Kings' Kevin Huerter: Gets shoulder procedure
Huerter (shoulder) underwent successful surgery Wednesday to repair his torn left labrum and will be out for the remainder of the season, Brenden Nunes of KHTK Sactown Sports 1140 reports.
Huerter went through the surgery without any issues and will be embark on a lengthy rehab process, though he's expected to be fully cleared for training camp in the fall. He'll look to move past a disappointing 2023-24 season in which he averaged a career-low 24.4 minutes per game and shot a career-worst 36.1 percent from three-point range in 64 games (59 starts). In 2024-25, Huerter will be entering his final year of a four-year, $65 million contract, and he could see his playing time increase out of necessity next season if the Kings don't retain pending free agent sixth man Malik Monk.
