We're barely a week into training camp and we're already tired of talking about coach Rex Ryan's promise to fix the Jets' locker room after last year's late-season implosion against the Dolphins that resulted in an 8-8 record and a comfy spot on the couch once the playoffs began. Setting aside Tebowmania for a moment, here's the latest drama: cornerback Antonio Cromartie said recently that he thinks he's the second-best wideout on the team after Santonio Holmes.

We're guessing he was joking when he made the comments -- but even if he wasn't, so what, right?

Well, Chaz Schilens, who could start opposite Holmes, doesn't share our indifference. On Wednesday, he called Cromartie's remarks "a slight," adding "We'll address it on the football field. kind of thought it was a joke, but I guess he said it and that's how he feels, so it's my job to I guess fix that situation, so we'll see what goes on in practice. He's entitled to think whatever he wants."

Worry not, however; Ryan is all over this. "I'm going to say this right now," he said Wednesday, per Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. "Listen to me when I tell you this: I'm aware of what was said. I'm on top of it. I'm telling you that right now and it will not be a problem. That's all I'm going to say about the whole thing."

And by Thursday morning that very much seemed to be the case based on the media tweets coming out of Cortland, New York.
