Washington Redskins'  WR Joshua Morgan saw the ugly side of Twitter after his unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in Sunday’s loss to St. Louis.

At least two people posted death threats toward Morgan, furious his 15-yard penalty pushed the Redskins out of field goal range.

Kicker Billy Cundiff was forced to attempt a 62-yarder after Morgan's penalty, missing badly, and sending some Twitter followers into a rampage.

One person said he wanted to “kill him” in his sleep. Another said if he saw him, “I would murder you.”

“The only thing I take seriously is football and family,” Morgan said. “Nothing really scares me. I’m from D.C.”

Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said team security will investigate the tweets to see if there’s anything to be concerned about.

Injury report: WR Pierre Garcon (foot), CB Josh Wilson (concussion) and SS Brandon Meriweather (knee) were limited in practice Wednesday. Wilson was cleared by doctors to resume activity after getting hurt in the second half of Sunday's game against St. Louis. Garcon hasn’t fully practiced since injuring his foot in the opener. Meriweather has missed two weeks with a knee sprain. Doctors said he would miss two to four weeks.

Foul ball: The Redskins lead the NFL in penalties with 23 for 223 yards. Shanahan doesn't seem bothered by the sloppy play. “We’re a very disciplined football team,” he said. “There’s a number of calls that shouldn’t have been called. I guarantee you at the end of the day we won’t have those penalties.”

RG3 Runs: QB Robert Griffin III is on pace for 160 carries this season. At his current pace, RG3 will to top Panthers' QB Cam Newton’s 2011 rushing attempts by 34.

“It’ll die down over the course of the year," Griffin said. "Sometimes I’ll carry 10 times; sometimes I’ll carry two times. It’s a matter of how the defense will play. Coaches will get more creative with the game plans we have going in. I don’t expect to carry that many times.”

Shanahan would only say, “It all depends on how the games are going. We’ll do what we think we need to win. Obviously we want to protect Robert as well.”
