Saints' Taliese Fuaga: Left off injury report
Fuaga (back) wasn't on the Saints' injury report Wednesday ahead of Sunday's Week 1 outing against the Panthers.
The 2024 first-round pick out of Oregon State was sidelined for the second half of August due to a back injury, but it now appears he's moved past the issue just in time for the Saints' regular-season opener. Expect Fuaga to protect Derek Carr's blindside throughout his rookie campaign.

Saints' Taliese Fuaga: Participates in team drills
Fuaga (back) participated in 11-on-11 drills during Thursday's practice, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Fuaga sustained a back injury in practice last Thursday, which led him to missing the Saints' second preseason game against the 49ers on Sunday. The rookie first-round pick will likely be held out of New Orleans' preseason finale against Tennessee and focus on being fully healthy for Week 1 against Carolina on Sept. 8. Fuaga is slated to start at left tackle and will be responsible for protecting the blindside of quarterback Derek Carr.

Saints' Taliese Fuaga: Should be good for Week 1
Head coach Dennis Allen said Fuaga's back injury shouldn't be anything to worry about as far as his availability for Week 1 of the regular season, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Fuaga has been dealing with a back issue recently during training camp. The 6-foot-6 offensive tackle should be healthy ahead of Week 1 against the Panthers, but this may mean his availability is limited in the final two games of the preseason.

Saints' Taliese Fuaga: Sidelined by back issue
Fuaga is dealing with a back injury, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Fuaga departed from Thursday's practice after individual drills due to tightness in his back, per Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana. It's not yet clear if he'll be forced to miss Sunday's preseason contest against San Francisco due to the issue. Fuaga is slated to work as New Orleans' starting left tackle after the Saints drafted him 14th overall in April's NFL Draft.
