Tatis scored the team's first run of the game on a two-run homer from Manny Machado in the sixth. Tatis went hitless in his first three at-bats before recording a two-out single and stealing second in the sixth inning. He also scored in the frame and added an RBI single in the eighth as San Diego blew out the Giants on the road. Tatis reached three times in the contest and tallied multiple hits for the fourth time this month. It marked his sixth game this season with three or more hits while the steal was his first since June 11 against Oakland. He's now batting .279 (12-for-43) in September with three homers, eight RBI and eight runs scored.
