  • Hunter Greene SP | CIN

Reds' Hunter Greene: Impresses in no-decision

Greene did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Dodgers, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out eight over 6.1 innings.

Greene's one major mistake in Sunday's outing was surrendering a two-run homer to Andy Pages in the fourth. That was the only extra-base hit he allowed in the game. He racked up over six strikeouts for the first time since April 16 and generated 22 whiffs, with a good majority of those coming from his fastball that was averaging 98.8 MPH on the afternoon. He now owns a 2.03 era over his last five starts, and for the year, owns a 3.22 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 66:24 K:BB in 58.2 innings. He currently lines up for a rematch with the Dodgers at home next weekend.

  • Landon Knack SP | LAD

Dodgers' Landon Knack: Pitches well versus Reds

Knack did not factor into the decision in Sunday's win over the Reds, allowing one run on three hits and a walk while striking out five over 4.2 innings.

Knack tossed four shutout frames before the Reds tacked on a run in the fifth after back-to-back doubles. Knack tied his season-high in strikeouts despite not reach five innings for the first time in four starts and registered a 35% CSW% on 64 pitches. He lowered his ERA to 2.61, which is the lowest of any Dodgers pitchers with multiple starts this season. It's likely he'll head back down to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday but would likely be the leading candidate for another call up if a full-time opening in the rotation opened up.

  • Andy Pages RF | LAD

Dodgers' Andy Pages: Finds power in win

Pages went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's win over the Reds.

Pages crushed a two-run shot off of Hunter Greene in the fourth to give the Dodgers a 2-0 lead. Pages has now tallied a hit in each of his last four games after a 10-game stretch from May 5-May 15 during which he hit just .114 with a 42.5 percent strikeout rate. Despite the mini slump, Pages survived a flurry of roster changes made by the Dodgers over the weekend and was hitting fifth in Sunday's win, showing the confidence manager Dave Roberts has in him. He's now slashing .265/.301/.451 with five homers, 16 RBI, 18 runs and a 4:34 BB:K in 123 plate appearances. His .752 OPS is also third among NL rookies with at least 100 plate appearances this season.

  • Bryce Elder SP | ATL

Braves' Bryce Elder: Pummeled by San Diego

Elder (1-2) took the loss Sunday against the Padres, allowing seven runs (six earned) on nine hits and three walks while striking out three over three innings.

The Padres put up a quick three runs on Elder in the first inning, all with two outs, highlighted by a two-run blast by Jake Cronenworth. Elder held them scoreless for the next two frames but ran into more issues in the fourth, allowing four straight hits and three more runs to begin the inning before he got pulled. Sunday was the second time in his last three starts he's failed to reach four innings, both of which he's given up seven runs and walked at least three batters. For the year, Elder owns a troublesome 6.46 ERA, 1.94 WHIP and 19:11 K:BB in 23.2 innings and currently lines up to face the Pirates his next time on the mound.

  • Yu Darvish SP | SD

Padres' Yu Darvish: Dominates Atlanta for win

Darvish (4-1) got the win over Atlanta on Sunday night, throwing seven shutout innings while allowing just two hits and a walk. He struck out nine.

Darvish continued his excellent run since returning from the injured list April 30 and is now up to 25 straight scoreless innings, having last given up a run April 14. He had one instance with facing runners in scoring position and that was after a first inning double by Marcell Ozuna. He ended his night by retiring the last 13 batters he faced in order and generated a season-high nine strikeouts while getting 14 whiffs on 99 pitches. Darvish also picked up career win No. 200 and will take an excellent 2.08 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 46:13 K:BB into his next start, which lines up to be against the Yankees during a weekend series.

  • Ha-seong Kim SS | SD

Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Shows power and speed in win

Kim went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, a walk, a steal and two runs scored in Sunday's 9-1 win over Atlanta.

Kim's first hit of the night was a base hit in the fourth, during which he stole second and came around to score on a double from Fernando Tatis. He then destroyed a 393-foot blast to center field in the seventh to extend the lead to 9-0. Kim now has just two stolen bases since April 23 and has yet to reach double digits this year after being seventh in baseball in 2023 with 38 thefts. HIs struggles to make contact remain, as he's slashing just .212/.325/.370 with six homers, 22 RBI, 24 runs and a 27:34 BB:K in 195 plate appearances.

  • Padres' Luis Campusano: Goes deep in win

Campusano went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 9-1 win over Atlanta.

Campusano went deep to left off of Ray Kerr to extend the Padres' lead to 8-0 in the fifth. It was his second home run this month and his fourth of the year. The 25-year-old is now slashing .264/.309/.421 with 14 extra base hits, 25 RBI 19 runs and a 9:20 BB:K in 149 plate appearances after putting together a career-high 174 plate appearances last season.

  • Padres' Jake Cronenworth: Swats early home run

Cronenworth went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer and a walk in Sunday's 9-1 win over Atlanta.

Cronenworth opened up the scoring with a two-run blast off Bryce Elder in the opening frame for his only hit of the night. Currently among all qualified first basemen, Cronenworth owns a 140 wRC+, which is third in baseball only behind Freddie Freeman and Bryce Harper. He's putting together an excellent campaign and is currently slashing .275/.344/.485 with eight homers, 30 RBI, 21 runs and a 17:33 BB:K in 192 plate appearances.

  • Padres' Jurickson Profar: Racks up three hits

Profar went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, an RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 9-1 win over Atlanta.

Profar began his evening with a first inning walk before rounding the bases on a home run from Jake Cronenworth. He later doubled in a run in the fourth and eventually scored again to make it a 7-0 game. Profar remains as locked in as anyone at the plate. He's currently riding a seven-game hit streak during which he's slashing .400/.500/.560 with four RBI, five runs and a 5:4 BB:K. For the year, the 31-year-old is on pace to put up career numbers across the board, hitting .335/.422/.522 with seven homers, 31 RBI, 27 runs and a 24:27 BB:K in 187 plate appearances.

  • Jorge Mateo 2B | BAL

Orioles' Jorge Mateo: Adds another steal Sunday

Mateo went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Mariners.

Mateo has a steal in each of the last two games, giving him seven thefts on the year. The infielder has gone 11-for-42 (.262) over 14 games in May, lifting his season slash line to .259/.299/.457 over 89 plate appearances. Sunday was the first time in four contests he didn't record an extra-base hit, though there typically isn't an abundance of power in his game. Mateo should continue to occupy a starting role at second base as long as he's hitting well.
