  • Rockies' Kyle Freeland: Good to go Sunday

Rockies manager Bud Black said Friday that Freeland (finger) is fine and will make his regularly scheduled start Sunday versus the Brewers in Milwaukee, MLB.com reports.

During his previous start Tuesday in Atlanta, Freeland felt a blister pop up on his left middle finger during the third inning, but he remained in the game until exiting after five frames. Freeland didn't appear to be affected much by the issue, as he struck out five over his five innings while allowing just two runs (one earned) on six hits and zero walks. With Freeland checking out fine a few days after the start, he should take the hill Sunday without any restrictions.

Freeland (4-7) took the loss Tuesday as the Rockies fell 3-0 to Atlanta, giving up two runs (one earned) on six hits over five innings. He struck out five without walking a batter.

  • Rockies' Kyle Freeland: Second straight quality start

Freeland (4-6) picked up the win over the Marlins on Wednesday, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk over six innings while striking out five.

The lefty would surrender one more run in the fourth on a Griffin Conine single but was still able to make it through six frames for his second consecutive quality start. Freeland has allowed multiple runs in all five of his starts this month and currently holds a 5.19 ERA to go along with a 19:9 K:BB.
