Rangers' Chris Kreider: One and one in loss
Kreider scored a shorthanded goal and added a helper in Thursday's 3-2 loss to Florida in Game 5.
Kreider registered his first points of the series in Thursday's home loss. The 33-year-old has cooled down significantly after recording 10 points in as many games across the first two rounds of the postseason. Rangers' Chris Kreider: Phenomenal performance in win
Kreider scored a natural hat trick in Thursday's 5-3 win over Carolina in Game 6.
Kreider was stellar Thursday night, providing three consecutive goals in the final frame to help the Rangers advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. New York's captain jammed home a loose puck at the side of the net to put the Rangers within one in the third period. He then deflected a shot from Artemi Panarin past Carolina's Frederik Andersen to tie the game for New York. Kreider completed the comeback by netting the game-winning goal on a beautiful pass from Ryan Lindgren behind the net. Kreider finished the series against Carolina with seven points (five goals) in six outings despite failing to find the scoresheet in his previous two contests.

Rangers' Chris Kreider: Status Thursday uncertain
Kreider, who took a maintenance day Wednesday, is not a lock to suit up against Carolina in Game 6 on Thursday, though coach Peter Laviolette said it was "a real positive" that Kreider skated Thursday, Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today reports.
Kreider's potential absence could be nothing more than playoff head games being played by the Rangers bench boss, but unfortunately, fantasy players will need to monitor the situation ahead of warmups. In nine playoff appearances, the 33-year-old Kreider has generated four goals and three assists, including three power-play points. If Kreider can't go in Game 6, Will Cuylle could be shifted into a top-six role.

Through the first five games of this series, the 33-year-old winger has generated two goals and two assists, including three power-play points. Even with concerns about a potential minor injury, Kreider remains a top-end fantasy target heading into Game 6.

Rangers' Chris Kreider: Starts playoffs with goal
Kreider scored the final goal in Sunday's 4-1 Game 1 win over the Capitals.
Kreider opened the postseason doing what he's consistently done over the Rangers' last two playoff runs. Since the start of the 2022 playoffs, Kreider has 17 goals and 26 points through 28 games. Sunday's game got chippy, and if the series stays that way and penalties begin to mount, Kreider could become a significant factor as a key piece of the Rangers' top power-play unit. He was sixth in the NHL with 18 power-play goals this season. Since the start of the 2019-20 season, he is tied for third in power-play goals with 72, sitting behind only Leon Draisaitl and Sam Reinhart. Sunday's third-period marker came at even strength, though.
