  • Rangers' Will Cuylle: Leading hitter among rookies

Cuylle finished the regular season with 13 goals, eight assists and 247 hits in 81 appearances.

Cuylle led all rookies in hits. The 22-year-old power forward slowed down offensively after mid-February, mustering just three goals without an assist over the final 27 games of the regular season. He's locked into a third-line role heading into the playoffs but rarely features on the Rangers' outstanding power play or penalty kill.

  • Rangers' Jonny Brodzinski: Scratched last two games

Brodzinski was a healthy scratch for the last two games of the regular season, and he finished the campaign with six goals and 19 points in 57 appearances.

Brodzinski watched fan favorite Matt Rempe play each of the Rangers' last two games as the team clinched the Presidents' Trophy, and those two players will likely rotate between the fourth line and press box throughout the playoffs. Brodzinski blew past his previous career highs of 35 appearances and six points, which the 30-year-old forward set with the Kings back in 2017-18, during the 2023-24 regular season.

  • Rangers' Matt Rempe: Draws into last two games

Rempe was in the lineup for the last two games of the regular season and finished the 2023-24 campaign with one goal, one assist, 50 hits and 71 PIM in 17 appearances.

Rempe will be an option on the fourth line for the Rangers in the postseason, as coach Peter Laviolette will be deciding between Rempe's physicality and Jonny Brodzinski's superior skill and speed for the final forward spot when the team's healthy up front. Rempe quickly became a fan favorite at MSG by throwing around his 6-foot-7, 241-pound frame with reckless abandon, and his physical style threw numerous opponents off their game despite Rempe averaging just 5:38 TOI.

  • Rangers' Ryan Lindgren: Contributes assist in win

Lindgren notched an assist and blocked two shots in Monday's 4-0 win over the Senators.

Lindgren had been held off the scoresheet in his last seven games since a three-point effort versus the Coyotes on March 30. The 26-year-old defenseman ends the regular season with 17 points -- one shy of his career high -- while adding 73 shots on net, 114 hits, 103 blocked shots and a plus-23 rating through 76 appearances. Lindgren is a defensive stalwart for the Rangers, and he should begin the playoffs in a top-four role.

  • Rangers' Erik Gustafsson: Provides helper in win

Gustafsson notched an assist, four shots on goal and two blocked shots in Monday's 4-0 win over the Senators.

This was Gustafsson's first point in his last seven appearances. The 32-year-old defenseman ends the regular season with 31 points, 93 shots on net, 66 blocked shots, 63 hits and a plus-3 rating over 76 appearances. He'll likely remain in a bottom-four role as a power-play specialist to begin the playoffs.

  • Rangers' Mika Zibanejad: Draws shorthanded assist

Zibanejad notched a shorthanded assist, three shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 4-0 win over the Senators.

Zibanejad helped out on an Adam Fox tally in the second period. The assist extended Zibanejad's point streak to six games (two goals, six helpers) to close out the regular season. He had 72 points in 81 appearances during the regular season, with his .89 points per game being his lowest pace in six years. Despite the down year, the 30-year-old center remains on the Rangers' top line as well as a key contributor in all situations after posting a career-high six shorthanded points and topping 30 power-play points (31) for the second straight season.

  • Rangers' Chris Kreider: Earns two helpers in win

Kreider notched two assists, three shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 4-0 win over the Senators.

Kreider set up Jack Roslovic's goal in the first period and Adam Fox's shorthanded tally in the second. Over the last 10 games of the regular season, Kreider racked up six goals and four assists. The winger is at 39 goals, 75 points, 246 shots on net, 99 hits and a plus-19 rating over 82 contests this season, his second most productive campaign. He earned 29 power-play points and a career-high five shorthanded points in 2023-24.

  • Rangers' Jack Roslovic: Opens scoring Monday

Roslovic scored a goal on two shots in Monday's 4-0 win over the Senators.

Roslovic snapped a four-game point drought with the tally. The 27-year-old winger has been decent for the Rangers with eight points over 19 contests since he was traded from the Blue Jackets. On the year, he has 31 points, 117 shots on net and a minus-10 rating through 59 appearances. Roslovic ended the regular season on the Rangers' top line, but he could be quickly shuffled down the lineup if the team encounters any stumbles in the playoffs.

  • Rangers' Alexis Lafreniere: Adds insurance tally

Lafreniere scored a goal on five shots and went plus-2 in Monday's 4-0 win over the Senators.

Lafreniere made sure to end his three-game point drought prior to the playoffs, scoring the Rangers' fourth goal in this contest. The winger has been near a point-per-game pace over the last six weeks, racking up 11 goals and 10 assists over 22 contests since the start of March. He's at 28 goals, 57 points, 217 shots on net, 73 hits, 40 PIM and a plus-2 rating through 82 outings overall. Lafreniere should open the playoffs in the second-line role he's made his own during the regular season.

  • Rangers' Adam Fox: Two-point effort in win

Fox scored a shorthanded goal on two shots, added an assist, blocked three shots and went plus-2 in Monday's 4-0 win over the Senators.

Fox has multiple shorthanded points in each of the last four seasons. The defenseman has also recorded three straight 70-point campaigns, finishing 2023-24 with a career-high 17 goals with 56 helpers over 72 appearances. Fox also earned 33 power-play points, 123 blocked shots and a plus-21 rating during the regular season. The 26-year-old defenseman remains one of the best in the league at his position, and he'll be tasked with a workhorse role during the Rangers' postseason run.

  • Rangers' Artemi Panarin: One of each in win

Panarin scored a goal on seven shots, dished an assist and went plus-2 in Monday's 4-0 win over the Senators.

Panarin finished off his career-best regular season in fine form with 11 goals and 15 helpers during a 13-game point streak. The 32-year-old is at 49 goals, 120 points, 303 shots on net and a plus-18 rating through 82 contests. Panarin fell a goal shy of being the league's fifth 50-goal scorer this season, but he's got plenty of momentum leading into the playoffs.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Posts 26-save shutout

Shesterkin recorded a 26-save shutout in Monday's 4-0 win over the Senators.

Shesterkin helped the Rangers secure the Presidents' Trophy, and he did so in style. The 28-year-old won has seven of his last nine contests, allowing 23 goals on 267 shots in that span, good for a .914 save percentage. Shesterkin concludes the regular season at 36-17-2 with four shutouts, a 2.58 GAA and a .913 save percentage over 55 starts. He'll almost certainly be between the pipes for Game 1 of the playoffs, but there are still four teams in contention to be the Rangers' first-round opponent.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: First off Monday

Shesterkin was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports, indicating he will patrol the home crease Monday against Ottawa.

Shesterkin has won three of his past four outings, including a 34-save performance in Saturday's 3-2 shootout victory over the Islanders. He has earned a 35-17-2 record this season with a 2.63 GAA and a .911 save percentage through 54 games played. Ottawa is tied for 17th in the league this campaign with 3.09 goals per contest.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Hangs on for shootout win

Shesterkin turned aside 34 shots in regulation and overtime, as well as both shootout attempts he faced in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Islanders.

The win set a new franchise record for the Rangers, giving them 54 on the season and putting them one point ahead of the Stars and three points clear of the Bruins and Hurricanes in the race for the Presidents' Trophy. Shesterkin's second-half resurgence has been a big part of New York's success. Over 22 outings since the All-Star break, he's gone 16-5-1 with a 2.30 GAA and .926 save percentage.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Starting Saturday

Shesterkin will guard the home net Saturday versus the Islanders, Andrew Gross of Newsday.

Shesterkin will get a rematch with the Islanders after allowing three goals in a 4-2 loss on Long Island in his last outing. The 28-year-old netminder is 34-17-2 on the year with a .910 save percentage and 2.65 GAA.

  • Rangers' Filip Chytil: Medically cleared

Chytil (head) skated with the team Friday after being medically cleared, though he remains without a clear recovery timeline, Darren Dreger of TSN reports.

At this point, Chytil probably shouldn't be expected to return during the Rangers' last two regular-season contests, but he could be an option in the playoffs. The center has been out of action since Nov. 2 versus the Hurricanes, a stretch of 70 games on injured reserve. If Chytil does get into the lineup, it will likely be in a third-line role.
