Bengals' Evan McPherson: Misses key point after
McPherson made all four field-goal attempts but missed one of two extra-point tries in Sunday's 26-25 loss to the Chiefs.
McPherson connected from 22, 33 and 48 yards out before hitting a 53-yard field goal to give the Bengals a 25-23 lead in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately for the Florida product, he was wide right on a PAT following an Andrei Iosivas touchdown catch late in the third quarter, which ultimately ended up being the difference in the score.

Bengals' Andrei Iosivas: Scores on both receptions Sunday
Iosivas scored a pair of short touchdowns and gained seven yards off of two receptions (four targets) in Sunday's 26-25 loss to Kansas City.
Iosivas was used primarily as a finisher on both of Joe Burrow's touchdown drives in Sunday's narrow loss. The sophomore wideout continues to absorb Tee Higgins' (hamstring) targets while the starter mends on the sidelines. If the latter is still inactive for next Monday's tilt against Washington, then Iosivas would generate deep-league appeal in Week 3.

Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Delivers despite taking loss
Gesicki hauled in seven of nine targets for 91 yards in Sunday's 26-25 loss to the Chiefs.
Gesicki rebounded from a lackluster Week 1 performance to provide faithful managers with a strong receiving line against a tough defensive unit. The newly-signed tight end could wind up being a great fit as an auxiliary option for superstar QB Joe Burrow as this offense continues to progress following a tumultuous offseason. Gesicki remains a mid-range option in fantasy heading into a matchup against the Commanders on Monday Night Football.

Bengals' Zack Moss: Gains 47 yards on 13 touches
Moss rushed 12 times for 34 yards and brought in his only target for 13 yards in Sunday's 26-25 loss to the Chiefs.
The Bengals lost a hard-fought defensive battle against last year's Super Bowl champions, resulting in several underwhelming fantasy lines Sunday. Moss was one of the victims after averaging just 2.8 yards per tote in the last-second defeat. After two weeks of unfortunate game scripts for fantasy managers, Cincinnati's new starting tailback may finally receive the amount of touches against the Commanders next Monday that Moss's hopeful draftees envisioned when selecting the upside play coming into the 2024 season.

Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase: Receives all of defense's attention
Chase was limited to four receptions (five targets) for 35 yards in Sunday's 26-25 loss to the Chiefs.
Chase was constantly bracketed by safety help all game long with Tee Higgins (hamstring) remaining sidelined due to injury. The Bengals' offense sputtered against a challenging defensive unit Sunday, but Chase's fantasy managers should not get any crazy ideas when setting lineups for the upcoming slate of games in Week 3. There is a good chance that the superstar wideout finally breaks out against a younger Washington defensive unit on Monday Night Football.

Bengals' Joe Burrow: Loses nail-biter to rival QB
Burrow (wrist) completed 23 of 36 passing attempts for 258 yards and two touchdowns while adding nine rushing yards on six attempts in Sunday's 26-25 loss to Kansas City.
Burrow also committed a pivotal turnover when he was strip-sacked for a touchdown in the opening moments of the fourth quarter in a narrow loss to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. The LSU product saw a marked improvement in his fantasy score following a Week 1 dud against the Patriots. Burrow wasn't his sharpest from the pocket, watching his completion percentage regress to 67.7 following Sunday's loss. Cincinnati's franchise QB didn't visibly appear to be limited by his surgically repaired wrist, downplaying any concerns raised on social media earlier this week. Despite taking the loss, Burrow's stock is trending upward following a solid performance against a difficult opponent as the Bengals prepare to face the Commanders next Monday.

Bengals' Sheldon Rankins: Done for day
Rankins (hamstring) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's contest against Kansas City.
Rankins suffered a left hamstring injury in the second half of Sunday's matchup with Kansas City, bringing his day to a premature end. In his absence, Zachary Carter and Jay Tufele will see more work at defensive tackle.

Bengals' B.J. Hill: Won't return Sunday
Hill (hamstring) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's Week 2 game against Kansas City.
Hill exited in the second quarter of Sunday's contest while grabbing at his left hamstring, and he's since been ruled out for the remainder of the game. His departure is a big blow to a depleted Bengals defensive line. Zachary Carter has stepped in for Hill against the Chiefs, while Jay Tufele has entered for Sheldon Rankins, who went down with an injury in the third quarter.

Bengals' B.J. Hill: Leaves game with hamstring injury
Hill is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Chiefs due to a hamstring injury, Jay Morrison of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Hill registered one tackle before exiting in the second quarter of Sunday's game. Jay Tufele or Zachary Carter will see additional snaps at defensive tackle alongside starter Sheldon Rankins while Hill is sidelined.

Bengals' Amarius Mims: Inactive again
Mims (pectoral) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
The 18th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft will miss his second straight game to start his career. Mims has been dealing with the pectoral injury since August. Trent Brown should start at right tackle for the Bengals.

Bengals' Tanner Hudson: Suiting up Sunday
Hudson (knee) is active for Sunday's game at Kansas City.
Hudson managed just one limited session (Thursday) during Week 2 prep due to a knee injury, and his doubtful designation on the Bengals' last practice report Friday forecast that he'd be unavailable. Having said that, the Bengals are keeping him active, which Jay Morrison of ProFootballNetwork.com speculates may be because Hudson is the team's emergency long snapper.

Bengals' Tee Higgins: Sitting out in Week 2
Higgins (hamstring) is listed as inactive Sunday at Kansas City.
Higgins hasn't practiced since Thursday of Week 1 and thus will miss a second consecutive contest to begin the campaign due to a hamstring injury. With Higgins out, the Bengals' passing game again will center around Ja'Marr Chase, while WRs Andrei Iosivas and Trenton Irwin, RBs Zack Moss and Chase Brown and TE Mike Gesicki also will be on hand for QB Joe Burrow.
